La Ferme and La Petite Maison at Molles are situated 3 kms NW of Montpezat de Quercy, a medieval bastide village (population 1,540) on the border of the Departments Tarn & Garonne and the Lot; the village is well served with all local facilities.
The commune is famous for its warm welcome to visitors and hosts a number of tourist events during the summer including a ‘son et lumière’, gourmet suppers at tables in the village square where you can sample the local produce, guided walks and a Ball to celebrate Bastille Day on 14 July.
From here you can explore the wonderful medieval towns and villages of the region; cities such as Albi, Cahors or Toulouse and appreciate the very different heritage and culture of this rural corner of SW France.
The spectacular Aveyron and Tarn gorges are within easy drive or just stay and enjoy the butterflies, wild orchids and see if you can spot the elusive wild boar and roe deer whilst walking along a section of one of the ancient ‘route royale’ from Paris to Toulouse that meanders through our woods towards the hidden 13C church at Saux with its unexpected frescoes.
Airports at Toulouse, Limoges, Bergerac, Brive, Rodez and Carcassonne are all within 2 hours drive and we are a full day’s drive from the Channel ports.
